It was a really hard decision as all the pups in the litter were stunning, but at last I've gone and done it.
My new baby has been chosen, his posh name will be (hopefully) Jacirra Bertie Boy
This is him aged 6 weeks old, although he doesn't come home to me until next week.
The journey home from my visit to Taunton was horrendous. I knew they had forecast snow, but you never believe it. Well OMG the snow was falling so hard the motorway was proving to be a nightmare. Many cars had skidded of the road and those poor drivers were stuck. I kept my concentration, and also kept my distance from all other cars, although a lorry did try his best to run me off the road at one stage, the git. Made the journey home very long and slow as top speed was around 30mph. There were no lanes to follow so it was best just to stay in the tracks of other cars.
Coming off the A5 near home I had to bypass 3 cars that had skidded up the slip road, then I very nearly got home, but had to abandon the car at the bottom of our hill as the weather had finally beaten me.

I've not been on here for a while, as I've been hoping for some good news for a change.
I'm please to say that I now have a reason to start entering Agility Shows again, as Del (pictured here) and JD have both been given the all clear to start doing Agility again.
Obviously I can't just start doing full on training, slowly does it. But it's such a relief. Although I spend all the time looking at Del and thinking "did he limp, is he standing correct". Think I've become neurotic and paranoid all in one.
Plus I have this puppy dilemma going on. Del has sired a stunning litter of 4 girlies and 2 boys. I was so sure that I was having a boy, but I just love them all. I have visit Carol Smith in Taunton 3 times now and was going to make a decision last Friday, but just couldn't decide. So I'll have to visit again. Which I don't mind as i love seeing the pups, but it is a long way, and they keep closing the motorway. Also I now know why there are so many accidents on the M5, that road is a death trap in the road works. There is no rhyme or reason to the lane changes, and they have the shiniest roads ever, the glare of the sun on the road was blinding.
Oh well, wish me luck for choosing the baby for me. If anyone wants to see pictures you can find lots on the Jacirra BCs Facebook page or http://bucklandagility.weebly.com

Was a busy week again this week. But my main problem seems to be getting myself motivated to train just Tom. Don't get me wrong, I love Tom to bits, and I did train him on Thursday and he was brilliant. But not having Del running, and not knowing how long he will be out for, has made me think that there is no point entering any shows, So therefore, no point training Tom.
I walk them all over the country park everyday, and even Glen manages his walks still. Del on the other hand does not appreciate the reason that he has to stay on lead. He is a front runner of my pack and they all egg him on. But lets hope that the lead walking is helping his leg.
I'm going running with Jenny Barr on Monday, although I'm not sure running is my thing. I wasn't even very good at running at school. I'm more a short distance person. For some reason I don't seem to be able to concentrate on long distances. Although if I do get into it, I'd like to take the dogs along and perhaps that will also help Del.

I'm having to restrict Del's exercise at the moment as his leg still isn't good, but hopefully he'll get there.
In the mean time I've decided it's about time I started to get fit, ready for when Del is better and for my new baby when he comes along. I've set up my Wii system, and have started back on the Wii Fit, and the Wii Active Personal Trainer. I like this system and have loaded my personal goals which hopefully the training programme will help me achieve. The part of my routine I really enjoy at the moment is the boxing. I have rubbish upper body strength, so hopefully this will help.
Watch this space. I'm really determined to be good.
